Guilty as Charged!

Yessir! I'm guilty as charged... Just a no good fer nuthin', back-slidin' ner-do-well slip-shod bellyacher who should be taken out and noodle whipped! There's just no excuse, other than there ain't been much to say, at least nuthin' much worthwhile. Oh sure, life is good, and all things considered it's been plenty peaceful here in Paradise, practically perfect you might say. Only thing is, I don't want ya'll thinkin' I'm braggin' or trying to make you jealous because it's so pretty much the same all the time here - it simply is.

And Yes, putting the picture of Hailey here is just my shameless attempt to take the attention off of my lack of journalistic performance...

Well, the biggest thing going right now is we're finishing the Boats in this years Victoria to Maui Yacht Race, sponsored by the Royal Vancouver and Lahaina Yacht Clubs. There's alot of good information, including Race Tracking if you're interested, at http://www.vicmaui.org/. And also the site I put up for LYC Committee Members and this year we also have a LOGOWEAR website. Check 'em out.

It gets a little crazy around here with all the boats finishing at different times, often in the wee small hours and Lahaina's big function is to provide Greeting Parties for the finishing Yachts and their Crews. Well, you can probably figure my big draw... it's always FUN to Party!

On a sad note - I must report that I bid a fond farewell to the "Lahaina Gal" today. And so I say good-bye to an old "Friend," rolling storage, and the Pearl of the Pacific. Miss her as I shall, I will take some comfort in knowing that she's gone to a better place, may she rust in peace!

(OK, for those of you who might not know, "Pearl" was my 1989 Ford, E-150 Van, also retired from Lahaina Galleries and who'd made more trips to the "Big Island" than I have...)

Well, being out of shape as it were, my fingers are starting to cramp... but before I go... DO YOU KNOW WHAT DAY TOMORROW IS??? Well, stop back by tomorrow to find out for sure!
